We are hosting a FREE Inter-School Math Competition at Bishop Brady High School in Concord, NH on Friday, January 17th, 2025! Open to all homeschooled children, schools, and students in grades 3 to 8!
Logistics
Fees: None! Participation is completely free.

Location: Bishop Brady High School, 25 Columbus Ave., Concord, NH 03301
Date: Friday, January 17th, 2025 from 4 PM to 6 PM ET
For Whom: Students in grades 3 to 8. Parents and coaches are welcome to stay and volunteer.
Total Seats: 60 students
What to Bring:
Your own reusable water bottle
Pencils (including replacements if necessary) and erasers
Calculators, if you're in the middle school (Ramanujan) round
Parents: kindly consider bringing snacks. You can sign up to bring something on the signup sheet.
Schedule
Date: Friday, January 17th, 2025 from 4 PM to 6 PM
3:30 PM - 3:45 PM: Student/Parent Reception
Settle down for an exciting afternoon! Take this time to locate the exam room, restrooms, and other areas of note.
4:00 PM - 5:15 PM: Written Competition
4:10 PM - 5:10 PM: Brahmagupta No-Calculator Written Round (for Brahmagupta Division students)
4:05 PM - 4:45 PM: Ramanujan No-Calculator Sprint Round (for Ramanujan Division students)
4:50 PM - 5:10 PM: Team Round (for Ramanujan Division students)
No breaks besides restroom breaks will be permitted during the competition rounds.
5:15 PM - 5:30 PM: Snacks
Unwind and regroup! Snack options will accommodate most dietary restrictions, including vegan and gluten-free.
Mentors and advisors from the Rastogi MatheMagicians Club will be available to answer any questions from parents and coaches. We will also have Bishop Brady representatives around in case you or your student(s) have any questions about being a student at Brady!
5:30 PM - 6:00 PM: Award Ceremony
Prizes will be awarded for the following categories:
Top 3 individuals in each division (Ramanujan Division and Brahmagupta Division)
Two top-scoring school teams (Ramanujan Division)
Competition Format
The students will be divided into two divisions by grade.
Brahmagupta Division: this division is for students in grades 3 to 5. They have just one round of competition:
Non-Calculator Written Round: 25 questions to be completed in 60 minutes. No calculator is permitted; individuals will solve their question papers independently.
Ramanujan Division: this division is for students in grades 6 through 8. They will have two rounds of competition:
 Non-Calculator Sprint Round: 30 questions to be completed in 40 minutes. No calculator permitted; for this round, individuals will solve their question papers independently.
Calculator Team Round: 10 questions to be completed in 20 minutes. Calculator permitted; for this round, individuals will collaborate in teams of four or fewer to solve the problems.
FAQs
I have a student that isn't on a school team. Can they still compete?
Yes! We accept individual registrations.
I have student(s) participating in the Ramanujan Division who couldn't be assigned to a team. Will they still be able to compete in the Team Round?
Yes! We will make teams of 3 or 4 for unassigned students, including individuals.
